Oftentimes the hardest thing about dealing with the sudden loss of a heroic figure is coping with the void they leave behind. Following the death of his beloved uncle Ed, Nolan finds himself facing a myriad of emotions and personal problems that his boyfriend Rodney attempts to help him battle through.
Nia Vines (Director) Attended Columbia College Chicago, where she expanded her artistic wings both on and off the stage, performing in many productions such as: Two Chairs and Light Blub, The 90's Show, and Paint it Black. Some student films including: Blown Away, Skin Deep, Tales from the Dorm, an Dream. Nia has taken on new ventures as assistant director for the production Red Carnation at the Chicago Actor's Studio, and is now directing and writing short films. She hopes to move people with her art and storytelling.

Bair Warburton-Brown (as Rodney/Deacon) A graduating Acting-turned-Directing BFA from The Theatre School at DePaul University, Bair is excited and grateful to be performing alongside the incredible artists at Perceptions Theatre this Spring. At only twenty-years-old, he has already worked or performed across Chicago at theatres such as Barrens Theatre Co, Chicago Dramatists, Congo Square Theatre, The Second City, and Victory Gardens! He will be relocating to New York City this Summer to obtain his M.A. in Arts Politics at NYU Tisch School of The Arts, where he will learn to further bridge the gaps between the arts and public policy. Eventually earning a PhD in Sociology, Bair plans to pioneer a more accessible planet through community-centered theatre, like this festival!
