About the Event

Perceptions Theatre’s BIPOC Play Festival was created in 2021 to offer local playwrights of color a platform to share their stories. Last year we were able to showcase six playwrights of color and their work virtually. Now, our July 2022 festival will be in person then streamed virtually and offers four diverse, intriguing tales that explore: the chaos of love triangle; the dangers of succession politics; suppressed childhood trauma; and police brutality.

Featuring Plays: Mess by Carlo Zenner, The Voice Inside My Head by Louis Johnson, Was It Me? by Andrea J. Fulton and Kingdom by Nic Bell

Our Covid Protocol:

We are following all Covid protocols and respect everyone's individual decisions when it comes to this. We do require either a negative covid test from the last 48 hours before the date of the event or a vaccination card and we will also check everyone's temperature before entering the event. Everyone is free to wear a mask if they so choose as long as they have a negative covid test or vaccination card.
