*Playwright, alfonzo kahlil will join us for the discussion.*
About Scorpio:
Intimacy is as essential as water, and water is as essential as our intimate relationships. In this play of romantic relationships, open relationships, close relationships, essential and forbidden relationships, SCORPIO invites us to consider the times when our needs exceed the boundaries of our relationships to our true partner; ourselves. However, for JUDA and ADESTE, that’s easier said than done when Venus in Scorpio goes retrograde…
About Playwright:
alfonzo kahlil is a writer, wordsmith, and performance artist that specializes in the spoken word and the dramatic arts. Raised on the Westside of Chicago, alfonzo believes in the power of performance to document, the power of writing to dismantle, and the power of words to delectate. alfonzo holds a BFA in theatre from New York University and was last seen in Free Street Theater: 50 Years of Joy & Justice, Still/Here: Manifestations for Joy & Survival, The Dream Engine at Kirby Theater and Goodman Theatre's Live @ Five: Celebrating August Wilson event. alfonzo is the author of SCORPIO and THE NEW / NEW TESTAMENT; their contributions can be found in The End of Chiraq and Clock Productions’ Black Joy.
